It becomes clear that these chaps are merely taking orders and passing them on to the stores at Amazon.com, some products come through customs and some don't.... I guess any sensible person may as well place his/ her order directly with Amazon, unless they specifically want to pay only in Rupees. I guess it's up to individuals where they want to spend their money.
Cheers!

Abhijeet,AFAIK amazon does not ship to India & neither do they accept Indian credit cards....found out when I tried ordering a few books for Jr....had to request someone in the US to order and ship...
that said Cabelas,Sierra Trading etc accept & ship...

People,
I called up 20north, and they have accepted the fact that they don't have the rights to ship items under Restricted category. Which means all those who were thinking of ordering and getting things at their doorstep can lay that dream to rest. No airguns, scopes, knives delivery at home. It's a new site, launched 2 months back. You can call this promotional campaign. They are saying that they are trying REAL HARD to get through this hassle, and once they are through, only then would these items be available for sale and delivery.
Regards
Jeff Cooper advocated four basic rules of gun safety:
1) All guns are always loaded. Even if they are not, treat them as if they are.
2) Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.
3) Keep your finger off the trigger till your sights are on the target.
4) Identify your target, and what is behind it.

Welcome aboard Tarzanboy. Someone I know spoke to one of the employees of 20north in Bangalore. Was told that they were not able to deliver airguns at the moment. Scopes, pellets and other accessories could be delivered. Was also told that they would start on the airguns pretty soon and were awaiting for some permission from the govt. All this however is hearsay and no one has any kind of hands on experience about actually buying from them.

Hey Guys,
I wanted to buy a couple of Co2 air pistols, but the problem I faced was that, I was unable to add the item to my shopping cart.
And when I Emailed to 20North coustomer support team I got this following answer.
"Thank you for reaching out to us with your query. We are writing to inform you that the following product - Walther-air-pistol. currently cannot be shipped. Regarding the sale of .177 Caliber and CO2 Air Guns, we are currently in the process of acquiring certain rights for us to ship such products to India. Please note that 0.22 caliber is banned for import into India. Ideally these products were not supposed to be displayed on 20North, we apologize for the same. We will intimate you when we are ready to ship these products."
Hope they will obtain the shipping rights very soon....
