A true confession. I almost side lined my beautiful 30-06 (FN Mauser) for years once I aquired a 270 Win. This one is a Mauser Model 66 with a Leupold 4X Gold ring scope sitting on a Rudolf Bock scope quick detachable mounting system. Indeed a 30-06 is more versatile but having both 270 and 30-06 is even better.
