Brass brush got stuck in .22 IOF Rifle

that wont be a problem for me as my rifle is kept in a safe bag,locked and a tagg pasted on the bag depicting my licence no. for identification...
But my cousin's .310 single shot has no cover..i guess he will get his rifle with some nice graffiti

Now back to your target, a couple of things:

First, remember this- Industrial strength cleaning ammonia (10
%) will dissolve copper. If you ever get a brush stuck tight fill the barrel and wait 10 minutes, rinse with boiling water and try pulling the brush out. If still stuck do it again but I bet it won't be.

Now, tell me about your target. What distance was this, and what position were you shooting? First things to check are the sights and the stock screws are secure. Did you drink any coffee or caffeinated beverages beforehand? The reason I mention this is because it is important and happens to everybody, even me! It never hurts to have someone else fire three shots either.

Look the gun over for any dings it may have received when out of your hands, especially at the muzzle.

Since the center of the entire group seems to be up and to the left I wouldn't decide on cleaning damage at this point.

i will keep that cleaning things in mind.
i shot it at prone position ,50 mtrs."i m not a pro-shooter."
i drank a mug(large) cappuchino before going to the range.
when i got my rifle back,it seemed to be ok because it was kept in a secure bag.no loose screws or loose parts.i had not zeroed it before shooting this time.
one more thing.i think the fore-sight of IOF rifle is very thick.it covers the whole 50mtr target paper.what to do on this problem???

If the front sight is too thick for you, best options are to replace it or simply file it down narrower.

The best technique to use with a fat sight is to adjust the sight so you do not center the post (front sight) on the center of the bulls eye, but you adjust it so the top of the front sight will just touch the bottom of the black circle. I hope that makes sense. For target shooting this technique works great, as long as you use the same tagets and distance since you will be adjusting the sight to allow the bullet to hit the center of the bullseye when the top of the sight is a bit lower and holding underneath.

You can even try to paint a thin white line on the center of the foresight, vertically....

My rifle is doing fine now.Just waiting for to get my rifle back(deposited due to Lok-sabha elections).
I have mounted a scope on that now for plinking at my farm.
Will post the results soon,.,.,
