Oh, I forgot to mention about the 'bad man' target... well, NM blasted his brains out with 4 head shots; Abhijeet gave him a generous mix of body shots; Dev got him in the neck and chest while I cud manage his liver and left rib-cage...

I daresay what remained of the paper...

Delhi folks are not that lucky.You need a PB license to won a .45 pistol there.

Arre Sir we can only dream of this list unless we travel to your neck of the woods. Tell me if the .455 webley revolver is even nicer to shoot. These pistols are actually almost like handcannons. But I suspect I'm becoming a recoil junkie

So may be either you mistaken about the price of the ammo or some nut sold it cheap to you.

Well Delhi has a really fine collection of nuts and in the collection is an armourer who cares more for his friends than the bottom line. So yes Sir, we are a blessed lot indeed.

Hey, Art_Collector aka Rakesh Anand of Garg Armoury, give that precious act of yours a rest. It's been going on for sometime and it's begining to get on my nerves.

What's more, don't try and make these blokes feel obliged to you. You sold the ammo at the going rate and did not do them any favours.

the cost of 45 ammo(Sellior & Bellot ) in Mumbai is now at about 100-110 per round.

Hunter, where in Mumbai are you getting S&B at 100 to 110 per round; I'd like to get some too. The cheapest S&B I have access too costs 150; Winchesters are 290; MFS is 100. All are 230 gr FMJ. HPs are 300 bucks if you are lucky to find them. I just have 3 left with me.

Aha my 45 pistoleros, welcome to the baaadest gun around. Been that way from a long time I'm told, plastics may come and go but blue steel and walnut, stoked with anything from 180grn PSP to Black Talons or the plainjane 230grn, rule!

Let me add to the heart burn, for 52 weekends, i let off 150-200 rounds of 45 through a 1911,mostly on sat nights, while in S Africa. Most times it was handloads, but around pay day, it was branded ammo-That was after my mandatory 100 with the CZ75 in 9mm-I came away, a devout devotee of the 'big 'un' and an undying faith in the ability of the CZ to belt out 16 of the best, unfailingly.

Hunter, are you sure? May be they have mixed the manufacturers around? MFS is 100 but S&B is 150. I will double check tomorrow again.

Are there any good places to shoot in Pune or even Lonavla; ranges, but open spaces would be better?

Huh, I can beat that - I used to load 200-500 rounds of .45acp most weeks.
- And people wonder why I detest handloading !
