Hi,

This is my trusted folder, which has been through a lot over the years.
I am unsure of its lineage as it was a gift.
Can someone tell me more about it ?

Not much, just a branding which says U.S.A. Nothing more than that.

Saw quite a few of this kind in Bangkok with U.S.A. written on it. Picked up one with a L.E.D. light as well. It was well made and sharp. The steel blade too was made of 440 kind and well contoured. Gave it to a friend as a present. They aren't expensive yet pretty ok for daily use without worrying about it walking away. It too had a genuine rose wood grip.

Thanks Marksman, I think I might be on to the family tree soon.

Yea the blade on this ones real well made too, the only let downers are the star screws.

I've got a good mind to do away with them and get rivets put in place of these lil' buggers.

Suggest countersunk Allen head bolts if you can get that style and dia.
Do use loctite!

Thanks eljefe, I'll definitely give that a go. Where can I procure loctite from?
I'm in Delhi.

. I had a look at their indian website post your comment. Did see the product and a pretty exhaustive pdf which detailed the chemical composition of the threadlock.Also managed to find an address.

243 comes in a bottle. It's a blue anaerobic liquid. I bought mine four or five years back and it cost Rs.750.00 or so. However, I still have plenty left after using it on many guns. Worth the cost and worth having in your tool box.

Anabond threadlockers are good too. They're locally made and are priced at one-tenth the price of Loctite.

I use Anabond- 122. Here's a link to their website-
