Re: Geam Guns .22lr Rifle
Recently fired some 50 odd rounds through the Geam 0.22lr semi automatic rifle. My observations for what they are worth. The rifle is heavy for such a small package. They should change to a synthetic stock or whittle down the wood a bit. The butt plate is a cheapo plastic piece found on low end airguns. The blueing had already started to deteriorate with patches of surface corrosion showing. Open sights were shooting 3" low at 25 yards with no option to adjust the rear sight as it was already at its maximum for shooting low adjustment. Moreover, its a complicated rear sight to adjust. They should have stuck to leaf sights or a simple flip-up. The grouping was at best about 1" at 25 yards while using KF rounds, which is unacceptable for a 0.22lr at this range. It could not handle more powerful rounds like Eley and CCI with groupings over 2". In contrast a German made Krico 0.22lr semi that was over 60 years old was hole into hole at the same range, irrespective of the cartridge used. To its credit, the trigger was much better than the Krico.

Good comparative review.

"One inch at 25 yards". That is unacceptable for a 22LR. The video however, posted by Bishop shows a much tighter grouping. I am inclined to agree with you about the aesthetics, the stock is ungainly and the forend needs to be whittled down. A 22 LR with a bipod??. Sometimes these gun manufacturers really amaze me.
