I would recommend you to collect folding or pocket knives first in your collection.

Tiny little thing. You cant even feel it in the pocket. But it came razor sharp and the serrated edge makes quick work of all kinds of ropes/chords/cables. Perfect edc knife.

440c stainless steel blade. Came sharp. Held its edge very well.

Bowie from unknow brand. Functional utility knife. My own knife to have seen some real little action.
I love to keep fixed blade knife as boot knife along with the knife sheath and I think that the Victorinox hunter pro is best for this purpose.

Keep knives in your pocket and pray that you will never need it
