After 2 days of dry practice (Figure 8's), I went to the range yesterday for live FP shooting. The whole day precisely...
- Warm-up
- 20 shots to zero in the weapon.
- Then I shot a half match of 30 shots: 257/300.
Lunch break and bad lunch. Food poisoning from 1400 hrs onwards. I thought of abandoning but continued with occasional visits to the confined place

- 2nd match of 30 shots: 256/300
- Took a long break to rest and started again with matches of 20 shots back to back.
- 1st match: 172/200
- 2nd match: 171/200
- 3rd match: 177/200
I think that the variations are occurring due to variation in grip pressure. Shots are more or less in a vertical line (except for errors) but sometimes small groups in the 8 ring with an occasional 6 or a 7 or two around 6 O'clock, sometimes around 12'Olock in the 7/8 ring with an occasional 6 or two. I find that when the grip is loosened, the shots are going up and when tightened too much, the impacts are down.
Sir, your comments please!
Things deteriorated after that and I had to stay in the range for 2 more hours before trying to return home. Reached home with a lot of difficulty in public transport and went straight to bed...
Today, I am feeling better and had some food in the morning. I will rest the whole day.
best regards
