Hello from US

Post by adrianS » Sat Apr 06, 2013 10:17 pm

Hi all,

I'm a sport rifle shooter in Seattle Washington. I really like the discussions under shooting sports on this board. There's a lot of constructive and positive discussion going on. I also really like the enthusiasm for it too. And it sounds like shooting sport is promoted to be accessible by everyone, it's a really great attitude. It's nice to see because here in the states, if one does not start early and enroll in a juniors program for rifle shooting, it's extremely hard to get any kind of coaching at all later. Being older now and being able to afford the equipment, I try to learn as much as possible on my own.

Cheers everyone.

Adrian

Welcome to IFG.
Please share some photos of your guns and tell us alittle bit about them.
We do like looking at other people's guns and always appreciate other people's impressions of them.

And ditto about posting pictures.

Thanks for the welcome guys!

I have a few toys but the one I train with and regularly shoot is my Walther KK300 Anatomic. It's a dream to shoot and its accuracy tells me- with brutal honesty- how much more training I have to do to be competitive at the state and national level. I hope to purchase a Walther LG400 in the future, since most 50M 3P shooters also shoot 10M air rifle as well.

cheers guys

Hi Adrian,
Welcome.
Do you also hunt? some pics and experiences would be welcome.
Also Im not sure what led you to believe that shooting sports in india are promoted to be accessible to everyone.
India has one of the most restrictive gun+hunting laws in the world. Let e correct that. It is the most restrictive.

Hey shooter, thanks for the welcome.

I have never hunted in my life, but am willing to try small game hunting like rabbits, with a 22lr if I had a buddy to go with, and teach me. And re: shooting sports promoted to be accessible to everyone- I think you're right, not shooting and firearms in general, sadly. My head is always in 50m 3p and 10m air rifle.. Seeing that there are now academies like GunForGlory created that teach 10m air rifle discipline at world class levels to anyone who wants to sign up, thats a really big advancement in shooting sports. Even more advanced than what a lot of US clubs do, with more outreach.
