Got two 4" RAT brand Rampur made friction folders and two large 6" spring Rampuris, as well as a small Rajasthan made slipjoint today. I know I overpaid at 200 for the slipjoint, 300 for the RATs and 1500 for the Rampuris, but I really had to search for these!

Brihaji,
It seems we can never get rid of imitations. This Muela kirpan seems to be a copy of the Victorinox small kirpan that hit the market and controversy about 8 years ago and was called back. I have one in my collection. The grips are exactly the same

Hi TC,
In the box that contained the Kirpan there was a sticker that said "Imported by Victorinox - India" - Made in Spain. The shop also sold Swiss Army Knives made by Victorinox + Muelas.
There was this particular Muela (7" blade) that caught my eye - the price was Rs.3570/- Is it worth picking it up?

Hi Brihaji,
I will check my box and the knife. As far as my memory goes there was "victorinox" stamped on the blade that I have. Will let you know and post a pic too.
The price of the Muela you mention indicates AN steel and could be a good one, depending on what you want it for. The Muela 440C blades are priced around 2000. I have two of them - bought them for the looks and never brought out of the box. I suggest you consult the real knife guys who live closer to you
As far as I know some of the Muela high end fixed blades are good knives.

Pistolero, I sell primarily Filipino blades, but have expanded into other kinds more recently.

I just received a shipment of very nice Malaysian parangs; I'll be home on Wednesday morning to check them out!
