My Company has been in existence since 1952
We are into Imports wholesale and retails of
All sort of Arms and Ammunition ... Am Delighted

Welcome to IFG and also please mention what type of arms and ammunition you are importing for retail.

We Import all Kinds of ammunition permissible in the Arms Act, Import of Arms are banned since 86, however
pre 86 Pistols , Rifles , Revolvers are all available with us.

Do you have copy of legal documents that say import of firearms has been banned? As per my understanding, the import of firearms is not banned. Just like ammunition, the import of firearms is also permitted under Arms Act 1959. Firearms have been merely put in the restricted list of import policy by Central Government. If you have license for import of firearms, you can import them. Has any arms dealer ever tried for applying for import license for NPB firearms?

To the best of my knowledge, dealer import licenses for importing arms ceased to be issued sometime in the 1950's... of course as everyone knows personal imports were stopped in 1986.

Both changes were done through policy and not amendments to relevant acts.

If you desperately need 16 Bore ammo...cartridges by Shaktiman are available in Delhi.Give it a try you should find some. Happy hunting.]
