KSRA opens with soft start.

The ranges at Karnataka State Rifle Association was setup for testing by performing a Homa-Pooja. The 25 meters, 50 meters and 10meters ranges were soft launched for testing and practice. The Secretary, Members and the Managing committee of K.S.R.A. and Shooters met at the venue to check out the new facility this morning . Yours truly was there to give you a first hand picture report.

Folks,
The ranges belong to S.A.I regional centre at Bangalore. At the moment in a trial condition to find out tech and logistical problems. Those who would like to enroll with K.S.R.A. would have to go through Civilian Rifle Training Course and then on to regular membership. More details can be had from Tenx on facebook.

Hi This is Francis, I had applied for the membership in KSRA long back (8 months) it was approved too, but they told me to attend min 8 times in 3months to SAI Spots Club, problem was iam from Shimoga it is around 285km from Bangalore and i was promoted (shifted) to Pune on work now i am back to shimoga so, i could not able to attend 8 time to the club but only once i have attended, can I get the membership in KSRA if not, what do i need to do to get the membership. can any one help me regarding this.

Dear Francis,

I think you should contact Mr. Krishna, the administrator,KSRA, at the J.P. nagar office on Saturdays between 10am and 1pm. See him when you are in Bangalore with your old CRTC membership card and you can explain your situation.
There is no other recourse other than 8 sessions and I am sure you can do it. There is a complimentary one year use of the facility with the CRTC and so I suggest you do it before it expires.
