Re: Colt Cobra .38 Spl
Jonah: "Most 38 specials can safely chamber and fire the .357 magnum round". No. Absolutely not. If you're lucky you'll need a new gun. If not so lucky, it's a trip to the emergency room. Really hope you got your wires crossed, and meant it the other way around: ".357 Magnum revolvers can safely fire .38 Special ammunition." That is safe, though the gun will shoot low. Cheers.

Winnie,
Pl opine which one 32 Beretta OR Colt 38 super with Sl 24.... (1937). Price differences are not much. Both the offers are from friend circle not from dealers.
Regards,
TS

If you are asking me as to which pistol to buy thentarget shooter wrote:Winnie, Pl opine which one 32 Beretta OR Colt 38 super with Sl 24.... (1937). Price differences are not much. Both the offers are from friend circle not from dealers.
1. .32 Beretta if you plan to shoot
2. .38 Super if you have a really good throwing arm and are reasonably accurate. The plus side is that you can practice with a rock of appropriate weight.

Thanks Winnie,
I'll keep in mind. On the other hand the colt 38 spr looks really good. The owner also told me its fodder is a problem. Besides the local cops bothering him for it chambers 9mm khokha (empty shell) when they tested.
THE chamber and fire of arms acts. seems to have gone unnotice for them.
For the purpose of aimed throwing to knock out the target, I would still recommend our good old IOF pistol auto 9mm.
