New Licence Issued

Post by James Purdey » Mon Mar 28, 2011 11:12 pm

hello everyone ,
i was finally issued an arms licence after some wait . the process was not much troublesome and was rather a smooth one or was i a lucky one i dont know . the local incharge of my station was a nice person and cleared my verification in no time when he came to know that i was pursueing shooting sports . even the commisioner of the police was very happy to know that i had recently won three medals in eastern india Trap and Double Trap shooting championship held at medinapore , west bengal . So he granted me the permission for the licence and issued it immediately . He personally congratulated me and asked me to do well in the sports further . i am really graetfull to all people who made it possible for me to get the licence . And for know Long shooting hours ahead .

Congratulations on the issue of your arms license and your success in Trap shooting.
I hope you continue to have the same success in the future.

Congrats with your license.

Though lesser mortals like me would like to know how you progressed in Trap and Double Trap, even winning medals, without a license, as local ranges in Delhi, for example, do not let you shoot, without one.

hi hamiclar,
thanx , but here they were allowing people from different shooting clubs to participate in the eastern india championship only if you are sent through any rifle clubs . and moreover the medinapore rifle club had their own weapons which one could use after paying rs 200 /- for a day . thanx to them .
but now its my own weapon i hope so .

Yeh sure gladiator , for the time being i will be endorsing a 28' engraved , selective ejector cogswell and harrioson SxS double barrel , as the the O/U are very costly above 6lakhs . and grewal at the club they were providing us with italian make over and unders . it was all happy shooting there .

Now since for the reasons best known to you, you have applied for "sport" they may ask for your rifle club membership.
