Are only IOF produced revolvers on sale for civilian or do they also make any semi automatic for civilian market?

In legal arms market only IOF makes revolvers/pistols and rifles. IOF produces only 3 type of handguns for civilian market. They are .22 revolver, .32 revolver and .32 pistol(waiting period of more than 1 year).
Non IOF imported revolvers/pistols(more than 20 years old) are on sale, but there price is extortionate because the import of firearms was placed on restricted list of EXIM Policy more than 20 years ago.

pistol more handy of course, easy to carry fast reload, more easy to shoot compare to revolver, but you have to do a lot of training in stoppage clearing drills, they will give you one year waiting, so you will have some time to train,, you can buy some inferior broken pistol to keep your license in order and then use this pistol in your stoppage drills training. once you can clear stoppage with closed eyes and using only one hand you are perfectly ready to buy IOF pistol.

revolver may not fire once or twice because of inferior amo , but no stoppage problems, then you should train a lot to be able to hit any sizable target with it, and they will provide you 8 cartridges per year for it.

I do not have complete specs, reliability for the pistol and revolver made by IOF so will abstain from commenting on them but considering stoppage (FTF,FTE) clearing drills as a problem is not correct in an autoloader.. you can practice clearing drills even with empty/dummy shells!!

a modern well kept auto loader is as reliable as a revolver!!

the preferred option is pistol IMHO... a revolver can also go down and when it does its mostly due to part breakage resulting in a catastrophic disintegration mostly!!
