Ramesh,

That'll be a tall order. I doubt anybody here would have a rate list for an imported handgun.

It depends on the condition of the handgun and how much can be milked from the customer.

You'll have to check with individual dealers.

Jeff Cooper advocated four basic rules of gun safety:
1) All guns are always loaded. Even if they are not, treat them as if they are.
2) Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.
3) Keep your finger off the trigger till your sights are on the target.
4) Identify your target, and what is behind it.

If the person had spelled it wrongly, we must correct him. Not all people are broadminded like who commented here [ or may be they made fun because it is the other person]. It sends wrong image about the forum and the person never feels free to ask anything again. I was surprised to see vikram commenting and others simply following. I guess this also comes under thread hijacking. This is a guns forum. If we knew it then answer or simply ignore but no fun making. Sorry for sounding like a granny but true...

Sorry if i'm rude but this is what i felt after reading the whole episode.

Tony no one is being paid to answer other's questions. Everyone is free to choose his own style while responding back unless it is in violation of the forum rules. Here more and more new people are coming up and asking millions of questions and hardly contributing anything in return. So what's wrong if in the mean time few of us have a little bit of fun.

Grewal,
The question is not about being paid or not.I agree that no one is being paid, But there is nothing that person who is answering without being paid can make a little bit of fun as you said ! little bit fun with an answer is good. but all fun without answer is not good [according to me].
Yes ! Everyone is free to choose his own style while responding but the one who posted is expecting an answer[ in any style as u said]. I guess there is no need to remember Madonna's song now since I'm not preaching. What i've posted is what i felt.

Guys we here at the forum are supposed to be a bunch of people who have some interest in Guns,my only quandry here being that the blog is for discussions related to Arms and RKBA,i just hope that this doesnt turn into a For Sale site.Mr Awasthi please honour us by posting what would be your intrest on the data required and me or some of my friends here if unable to guide you on the same would atleast try and put you on the right track. The prices of A series and B series vary from area to area,In Chandigarh the price is diffrent then Delhi,Kanpur,Calcutta,Mumbai, etc,etc .If we are a little more clear on the same we could atleast try and guide you on the same .
As far as the refrence to Scotch goes i think he posted it on a wrong day, weekend everyone is running helter skelter trying to figure out where we gonna open the bottle and with it raining and snowing up north dusting the BBQ and arranging the wood etc so its all sounding Scotch.

Some of you seem to have taken umbrage that some light hearted banter was indulged in at the expense of the OP.You do make a pertinent point and I apologise for the lack of judgement on my part.Sorry.

The question that begs an answer is why does he need this 'information' as he calls it.Since no one will have a rate list in hand,as there is none, what purpose would be served by this post.An attitude of "Just answer the damn question" will not surely help

Look at it this way, the original post concerns

i. an apparently nonsensical question.
ii. Put forwards in a fashion guaranteed to elicit a response, maybe start a quarrel between us

It's not another visit from our friends from the other forum is it?

Might as well discuss something else. :deadhorse:
