Hello from a Dutch guy

Post by polman » Thu Oct 14, 2010 12:00 am

Hello to all,

Let me say something about myself.
I am a collector of shotshells and have found this forum sometime ago. I was hoping that there is anybody out there who is capable to help me.
Over here in the Netherlands it is very difficult to find any kind of shotshells coming from India and/or other Asian countries.
Perhaps there is somebody who has some old fired/inert shotshells. Or perhaps you know of a collector.
I have many nice items to swap with and ofcourse am willing to pay postage.
PLEASE contact me.

rpolman1974@hotmail.com.

Many thanks, René Polman
I am always looking for collectable shotshells, have all required permits and would be very happy to get a PM when you can help me.
Many thanks René

You want more gun control? Use both hands!

Welcome to IFG, polman.

Regards
Jeff Cooper advocated four basic rules of gun safety:
1) All guns are always loaded. Even if they are not, treat them as if they are.
2) Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.
3) Keep your finger off the trigger till your sights are on the target.
4) Identify your target, and what is behind it.

Thanks for the welcome.

Shooter, as for hunting and shooting in Holland.

Hunting isn´t what it used to be.
About 20 years ago my father was a gamekeeper and we were used to shoot between 140 and 200 pheasants a day. The man he worked for was a great hunter and also had a huge estate in England and in Scotland.
Now we are not allowed to breed pheasants anymore, When we get caught we loose our huntingpermit and guns.
On that same ground we now are lucky when we shoot 15 pheasants a year.
The rest is Hare, Rabbit, Pigeon, Goose and foxes. As for big game it is Roedeer, Deer and Wild pigs.
Everything is stricktly within license and permits.
Leadshot was banned about 15 years now,and we shoot with shells loaded with Bismuth, steel, Zinc, Tungsten and all kinds of mixed metals.

Shooting ranges are common but also on heavy fire of anti gun people and neighboors who complain about the noise.

I hope this is enough info for you.

Again anybody who can help me with old shotshells?????
