guys....received my CRTC yesterday but they misspelt my name :-( once i get that corrected, i shall apply for an arms license. Will continue to post my experiences and reach out for advice :-)

Hi dhruv what category are you applying for self defense or sports both need to be backed by good documents to get an firearms license mate...

Hi Suraj, would be applying under sports.I have 6 months free membership of KSRA (because of CRTC); apart from this, I don't have any other documents..

Can’t believe this journey started almost 12 years ago. I’m happy to share that I was finally issued my arms license in Bangalore this Monday. The process took about six months from the date of application to receiving the license. I followed all the rules, submitted the required documents, and the only follow-ups needed were at the PC office.

I’ve now started shortlisting which handgun to buy. If anyone from Bangalore has questions about the process, I’d be happy to share my experience.

Wow, that's a long wait and lengthy process... A lot can happen in those years. Anyway, congratulations on your licence.
