I've never been a fan of "Dr. Kildare," but I did like him in that series. I liked Tai Pan with Brian Brown and Joan Chen, too. That novel was probably my favorite. Then there's the original King Rat with George Segal, black and white, very good movie. Clavell did some of the screenplay for The Great Escape, a movie that I really like a lot. Don't forget that Clavell's daughter played Miss Smallbone in the 007, Octopussy. But then she disappeared -- too bad!
