Dear Friends,
Today I have purchased 2 Scout Knives with Sheath from Bharat Scouts & Guides (National Headquarters of Bharat Scouts & Guides, New Delhi)... These are excellent knives, with plastic grip... although finishing is not very fine but excellent to have one for the collection... blade is hard and sharp... grip is comfortable...
Approximate length 7 inches, blade length 3.5 inches...
Price Rs. 25/- Each
With Regards
Suraj Singh

Suraj,
Glad you like them but I must say I am disappointed to see what is being dished out.
I thought the one's we were given in the 70's were bad but these are atrocious.

Mack The Knife Ji,
I am totally agree with you... the quality is very poor... but I feel these are symbolic knives... not for actual use...

Suraj, I understand what you are saying and if I still had my troop issue knife I would have gladly given it to you. At least there was some semblance of quality in that knife.
What's annoying me is that after 30+ years I would have expected them to give our Scouts and Guides a better knife than I was issued, instead they provide this!
