Oh yes,,, I have a Dao (hopefully it is called so) with its bamboo woven scabbard from Nagaland, a couple of hunting darts and a sickle (Chinese made) from Bhutan, a few iron-head arrows from Meghlaya and a too... These seem to be tribal, but I'm no expert.....
Abhijeet,
THANK YOU ! I'll share my encouragement with you all over a few bottles of the hops beverage and kababs..... If nothing else, it'll be a great occasion to get together again...

How about plastic cutlery knives, in different colors, ? I'd be happy to donate, and they'd probably even pass your customs.

Dear olly
I wish you all the best in your endeavour,But as Rustum rightly said there are many erstwhileroyal collections and we donot know what the numbers stand at, If at all you are so keen on an enrty you should try to enter the books under category "NonRoyal/Not Inherited".knives have been a passion all along i have a collection of 400+ knives and i still collect I was once toying with your idea but decided In my own interest that it does not need to be so,So i enjoy my egded beauties myself and with some other serious knife lovers.Majority of my collection are folders(Old British,Military,Indian folders,Multitools),Knives from different tribes from india(North-East) and abroad, Knives from the Great Wars etc.
Be regular at flea markets,Visit the north-east,Kutch&kerala if you can it will definetly enhance your collection,I will add one knife to your colletionTake care and keep em oiled
