The Locksmith has a File...this is used to file through metal. The Soldier does not have this. The Soldier has a Saw instead...this cannot be used on metal, it is used to cut through wood. Both have the can opener.

Correct! Slingshot has answered your query.
The file on the locksmith is engineered to be used as a file as well as a hacksaw with the edge designed for cutting through metal.
