"bhujaali" transformation

i had earlier posted a picture of this "bhujaali" that i had purchased from a village market in jharkhand.

there were discussions on putting a handle on it so that it could be used as a chopper/camp knife. i then decided not to make it into a camp knife because it was too long (blade > 11") and shortening the length would mean the blade losing those beautiful curves.

i have finally decided on something else. shall keep the final product as a suspense for now and let the pictures do the talking. this will be a very slow WIP...so bear with me

the sparks are an indicator that the material is somewhere between category C and category D material (refer below image)
