Wood pigeon-
First shoot a wood pigeon (or a few if you’re a good shot and know your fieldcraft.
If you have shot one-
Breast the bird-
Heat a pan on high heat with a bit of oil and sear the breast 1-2 min on each side.
Remove and rest for a couple of minutes.
In those couple of minutes in the same pan fry an egg sunny side up.
Now slice the breast into slices. Make sure it’s still pink in the middle with pink juice oozing out.
Season the breast and fried egg with salt and coarse pepper and maybe a pinch of red chilly.
Enjoy with toast. Best breakfast ever.
Keep the legs aside.
When you have enough legs make woodpigeon pulao. (Recipe to follow)
