Hi Grok47,
There are many Tokarev style(single action) pistols in 7.62x25 (also called .30 Bore TT or Star pistols) available in the market that were imported or were captured by our armed forces during combing /anti-terror/gangster related operations. These came into the civilian market as NSP(non-service pattern) weapons.
Because they were seen as imported and due to the demand the prices are very high.

Now several Indian brands have started manufacturing pistols in 7.62x25 caliber:

MSD: Falcon Tokarev Style single stack magazine 8 rounds and Eagle Sig/Sauer style (double action) 17 round double stack magazines

Nanda Arms: Cheetah Sig/Sauer style (double action) 17 round double stack magazines

Gretta: Tokarev style single stack magazines (8 rounds) and double stack magazines(18 rounds)

Camstar: Star M 30 1911 style single stack magazine (9 rounds?) and Tokarev style single stack magazine (8 rounds?)

Webley & Scott: Tokarev style with single stack magazine (8 rounds)

I bet there are others, members can chip in.

I guess it boils down to how comfortable and well trained you are in pistol carry and safe usage in using double action/ single action type systems.
The Sig/Sauer style ones are rather bulky and not the best for concealed carry but that would depend on your size and shape but have higher capacity.
The Tokarev style ones usually(there are exceptions) generally don't have an external safety other than the half cock position of the hammer, are lower capacity but are easier to conceal.

Regards,
Anand
