My opinion is that 30 Super Carry would be ideal. It has nearly the power of 357, but a small frame revolver (Smith & Wesson style) can get 6 chambers in the cylinder, as opposed to the normal 5 for 357/38 Special.
It would also be nice if a 32 Auto that was longer and "magnumized" would come out, something in between 32 Auto and 7.62x25 Tokarev.
But that's just me thinking

Pricing is issue in changing weapons. If prices are low we. Could changes revolver to pistols or pistols to revolvers and chnage bores frequently.Govt fees is too nominal for changing weapons.

Those are some great calibres for fun shooting, especially the .177hmr. but since the govt. keeps tightening the gun laws, it is better not to hope for them in indian market. Also getting a gun licence is a hell lot of a task. On top of it no one would want a .177hmr as his only rifle or pistol.
Had these calibres been free of requiring licence, they would thrive. But it is better not to expect from a country that imposes licence on a .22 calibre air rifle.
