For ability to carry cocked & locked and better grip, I would choose 1911.

Sadly enough I saw a picture of a MSD 1911 with a cracked barrel. So some caution is warranted.

Maybe if we could compile a list of all problems reported by users for different pistols, it would help new buyers make an informed decision about which pistol or revolver to buy
