Arminius HW3 .32 S&W Long 7 Shot Revolver

Hi Friends !
I am a fresh entrant to this specialized forum. I hope my queries regarding my revolver shall be well received and responded here. I inherited an Arminius brand revolver model HW3 .32 S&W Long side opening revolver during early 1990s. The revolver was imported from Singapore during 1980s by my father. It is hardly used by me and was well kept by my father. The condition is at least 90% (of brand new).
I have heard from some friends that the body of this revolver is made of some alloy and it may break up anytime using KF Ammo. Though I have used only a few times, but always with KF ammo (India origin) and it has showed no abnormality so far. One of my friend who is also a gun dealer has strongly suggested me to sell this revolver for around Rs. 2.35 L.
Out of fear, if alloy body has a strong tendency to break-up sooner or later, I am confused if I should sell this weapon and at a price like Rs. 2.35 L. I have also been suggested to buy an IOF .32 in place.
I urge the senior and well experienced members at this forum to kindly suggest me, if I should follow my gun dealer friend's advice?
Keenly awaiting your response.

I am sorry

No replies yet...The Queries simplified now:
1) If the Alloy body of the revolver in question has a tendency to blow up or break up while using Indian IOF ammunition?
2) If I am going to sell this revolver, what should be a fair price for 90-95% condition revolver this time?

first of all welcome to this forum,
a few pics of the gun will help the experts of this forum to clarify your query..
since your model is HW3, it was produced in year 1960, and hence could fetch you extra bucks...
experts comments are required.....

Afaik,
using Iof ammunation wont damage your gun.
Also your revolver is 100 times better than Iof.32
All Weapons are made from some or the other alloy's and coated with chemicals to keep the weight as light as possible.

Hi lucky sir you have nice weapon there ! If the alloy is prone to break on falling, the manufacturer would not have preferred the alloy material. Wont they have thought over it ? They are producing weapons and not show case pieces to brake on fall. Probably they brake when you hammer it. My advice not to sell it. The dealer has an eye on it and looking forward to a lucrative deal. If you are fixed on selling it I shall buy 10 k more what your dealer offers.

Lucky007,
If you do a google search about alloy frame revolvers, your fears will be put to rest. There is a long thread on Arminius revolvers on IFG. Do a search and you will find out a lot of useful info here. That is such a nice looking revolver you have there.

Please do this. Ask a dealer, not your friend, how much an Arminus HW .32 revolver in near new condition costs. You will find the feedback to be of interest.

If you don't need to sell it then don't sell it.
