Hi,

Welcome.

As per the laws in our country, being a girl doesn't stop you from applying for a license, nor goes it give you any special privileges regarding the same.

Regarding learning to shoot, you can search for any shooting club in your area. Maybe someone from Hyderabad can reply to her.

...and the actual range is at Gacchibowli, in the Hyderabad Central University extended campus, Koti is only their office for applying for memberships, etc.

At Gacchibowli, you may learn to shoot, coaches are available.

I would suggest that you visit the range once and see what they have to offer before applying for a membership.

All the best.

+1.

Welcome to IFG. By visiting the Gachibowli range, you will get to know people who can help you and guide you with the process. If you wish the carry a handgun for self-protection, there are quite a few things you need to absorb and follow them meticulously. That is not to intimidate you, but to have the correct attitude to owning and using a firearm and the required physical skills. Do use this forum and other sources on the net to learn about firearms for self-defence. If you have any question, feel free to ask. There is no silly question to ask while learning. All the best with your quest.
