Recently I fired 7 rounds with my iof revolver in both single action and double action along with my friend.I have seen in double action it more difficult to hit the target but in single action it is easier.Of the 7 hits total 4 hit the target at the 22 yards last time I tried it from 12 yards was near the target but this time time I did improve my hold on weapon and also held by both hands there was no recoil at all.Only drawback in gun is tight trigger in double action.

Shooting a double action revolver is nearly always more accurate in single action mode. This is because the single action trigger pull is lighter and shorter, without having hammer cocking and cylinder rotation adding to the duties that pulling the trigger must perform.

For defense shooting with a double action revolver, double action shooting is a must. For this, I practice by placing my trigger finger on the trigger between the first and second joint, in such a way that the break is just as the tip of my trigger finger touches the frame. This way, I can anticipate when the trigger will break and the gun will fire.

For accuracy and target work, of course use the single action mode. I place the pad of my fingertip on the trigger when shooting like this, as is commonly accepted.
