is .32 bore revolver cartigdge is capable of cearting an exit wound in a human being.
no I don't have any bad intutions I own a wepeon of that caliber but got much disturb about some media reports.
are there any ballistic reports to prove this. I use to think this calliber is just to stop the aggresstion not to kill instantally.
Experts pls help.

Kuwar: An exit wound is not required to kill. There is no caliber that is "just to stop aggression not to kill". Depending on the shot placement, all calibers, even the smallest, can kill instantly. If shot placement is not immediately fatal, the larger the bullet, the more the tissue damage and bleeding.
In any case, there is no kind and gentle caliber.

Yes, depending upon the distance it is fired from and where it hits the body .

India is a strange place.... wierd notions of self-defense and ballistics. I suppose its an uncertain mindset that's been drilled into our skulls by the establishment since the nations birth.

Shot placement is the key here. If you are able to hit any vital organ you can kill someone [God forbid]. Even if you do not get a vital organ, there is a fair chance - the wounded person may bleed [loss of blood] to death.
There was a video i saw on youtube - it was .32 S&WLong vs Watermelon in which the shooter had shown input & exit wound shooting from some 25+ ft or so. The exit wound was some 4+ inches in dia. However, it seems the video has been removed or so. I am not able to find it now.
Further, let me remind you that long back, .32 was a police / military round for quite some time in the west however later they switched over to higher calibers.
Moreover, personally i feel, the frame structure of people in the West is large whereas Asians have smaller frame structure. People in the west are 'comparatively' tall & well built - .32 seems to be inadequate for them but for asians [read India, China, Japan] it can do the job. Most of the theory on capacity of .32 comes from the west - caliber tried & tested on their people & conditions. We, however, live in other conditions.
So, all together, in general, 0.32 for civilians seems to be okay... & lastly, remember - we are not choosers....

God was watching over you my man . Earlier in the year there was a post about an Italian man who was shot in the head with a .22LR bullet and actually sneezed it out of his nostril later.
http://www.newsamen.com/102532/italian- ... the-bullet
Perhaps, the most incredible in the history of medicine was the story of a gunshot wound in the head that occurred in Russia in the 18th century. We are talking about the future commander Mikhail Kutuzov. During his military service, a Turkish bullet on two occasions hit Kutuzov nearly the same way, from his left temple to the right. The first time Kutuzov was bound to perish in battle when he was under 30 years old. The wound was so severe that doctors had no hope of recovery. Yet, Kutuzov has recovered, but lost his eye.
13 years later during the siege of Ochakov 43-year-old Kutuzov was mortally wounded again. The bullet, again, went right through from temple to temple behind his both eyes. The surgeon Massot who treated his wound commented that the fate must be preparing Kutuzov for something great, because he was still alive after two injuries fatal by all the rules of medical science. Three months later, Kutuzov returned to service.
A lot of firearms of the late 18th century had the caliber of 17 - 25 millimeters. If a bullet like this hits the head, the skull is shattered to pieces. Kutuzov got two of these bullets in his head, and survived.
What happens to the human brain after such injuries? In the best case, severe neurological disability. It was not Kutuzov's case. In contrast, the peak of his service career came at the time shortly after the second injury. The general mastered a new profession of a diplomat and achieved brilliant results.
