My mother is holding .25 bore pistal license, valid for all India. She is not able to carrry weapon due to her age factor. She is ready to transfer the license in my name.

Can someone please help me to explain the process to transfer the license? License was issues in UP and I stay in Hyderabad.

license is not transferable, read the licence it will say on it.

what you can do is become the retainer on the licence is one option, if your mother owned the pistol for long time then maybe get it as a family hearloom, you would still need to apply it in your name.

which means that you would need to make an arms application. with your local arms authority.
