We, newbies, in the gun community have not much to say. Most of the questions we have (as simple as they are) had been posted and answered thoroughly in the forum, you just have to use the search button.
At least this is the reason in my case. That being said, I read the forum almost everyday and gained some knowledge here and there.

A lot of the issue here is how someone can get what they want, or how they can get their questions answered.
Knowledgeable and constructive contributions are what we all depend on for a vibrant community.
How can more active participation be encouraged? This is something to think about.
the site is what we all make it to be.

It is indeed disheartening to see the forum so quiet. Facebook pages and WhatsApp groups have taken their toll on many forums like ours but there are many who still thrive thanks to the participation of members. Forums like ours offer the anonymity and absence of data mining that social media doesn't , to my knowledge, and yet retain a sense of community.
As Timmy said, "the site is what we all make it to be." The only way to keep it going is by contributing to the forum. Better content always attracts attention.

It’s a great forum. Some very knowledgeable people on board and I have always received a very useful reply.
Still on the lookout for a .22 pistol with a good load out. The .32 ones are too thick for my hands.

As others have posted above - this is a community, so while many things may have been asked and answered before... There always exists the opportunity for those who came here and learned, to share their knowledge with the newcomers, who may not be as clued in.
When we started out, there was much learning for everyone around. Many of my own and other old time members posts/ answers to queries were flawed. We all learnt from each other's experience and expertise. To quote the cliche, Rome wasn't built in a day!
Coming back to point, if you see an unanswered post, for which you know even part of the answer, please do pipe in and post your knowledge. Don't be afraid to be wrong! Many times the OP may just give up after a few days of no response...
Just my 2 bits.
Cheers!
